Sexy City
January 20th, 2002I watch Sex And The City and am proud of it, dammit.
Some may think that show kinda foo-foo. "Lots of touchy-feely female stuff going on in there," they say. "That show is all about women, made for women," they say.
But who exactly are "they"? And have "they" ever actually watched the show? Are "they" the same people who watch Oz and say, "Now there's a real show about men, made for men, despite the numerous anal rape scenes in the shower by prison inmates"?
I'll let the conclusion sink in before I move on. Hmm. Got it? Good.
Now really, what guy wouldn't be proud to admit watching Sex And The City? For one, it's got the word "Sex" in the title. For another, it's got parts that satisfy both sexes.
For the girls, there're oozes and oozes of feminine sensitivity and toughness. Enough to give any girl someone to look up to. And I'm sure all you girls have once wondered, "Which girl am I? Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, or Samantha?"
They tackle real world relationship issues in an earnest, unapologetic and very funny way. Whether you can identify with them or not, it's nice to see people with lives more pathetic than yours, yea? Yea, I knew you girls would like that.
And for the guys, there're plenty of nude scenes.
Oh, and all that feminine sensitivity and toughness is nice too. It's like a portal into the female mind. Now we know all your secrets!
And we know what you look like naked too!
But I digress. The point is not that most of these four ladies of Sex And The City bare their breasts; the point is that, uh, hmm, what's my point? Ah yes, the point is that this is a damn good show. It's a damn good show for both guys and girls.
So if you haven't seen the show before, go check it out. If you're a girl, you may identify with one of the four main characters. If you're a guy, you'll learn to be in closer touch with your sensitive side (not to mention—look, breasts!).
Do you watch Sex And The City?
