As the leaf settled on the ground, it reflected on its journey.
In the beginning, there was just a seed. The seed fell to the ground and grew into a sturdy sapling.
Rain fell from the sky and fed its hungry veins.
And so it grew.
Something terrifying happened to me one autumn night.
Back in high school, I used to hang out in the woods and drink beer. In the woods, we'd be out of the sight of parents and police. There would be a large group of us and we'd huddle on fallen logs around a campfire.
